Absolute Fit Guarantee — free follow-up adjustments, and we don't stop until it's right.
A stock footbed warmed in an oven and pressed against your sole for a few seconds. A liner heated and squeezed around your foot. It's an adjustment of a generic product that already exists — and every other shop in Verbier offers it.
A 3D model of your foot, a 538-point physical digital scan, drives a CAD/ CAM milling machine that carves your orthotic from a solid block of EVA, a memory-foam liner is injected around your exact foot. One is an adjustment. The other is manufacturing — and in Verbier, only Surefoot does it. It's like going to the factory.
Scanned, built and moulded around your feet in a single visit — just over an hour, no break-in. Walk out skiing.
A pressure-sensitive digitiser and 3D scanner capture your foot at 538 points, in full-contact detail.
Your technician reads the scan and how you ski, then picks the ideal shell from 100+ models across the top brands.
Your custom orthotic is milled from a solid block of EVA on our CAD/CAM machine while you try on shells.
Memory foam is injected while you stand in the boot — it solidifies in five minutes, ready to ski.
No break-in period. Your boots fit great from day one — backed by the Absolute Fit Guarantee: free follow-up adjustments until it's right.
Surefoot invented the ski boot heater. Every one of our four different custom liners comes heat-ready — four versions for every foot and skiing style — heating with app control, 10 settings and up to 17 hours of warmth. No other shop in Verbier offers heated custom liners, or in the rest of the world for that matter. We invented it.
Custom orthotics ( medical grade insoles ) and a perfectly injected liner eliminate unwanted movement in the ski boot. Every input transfers directly to your skis — making you a more efficient, confident skier. You get more control.
Nobody heads for the restaurant at eleven because their skis hurt. It's always the boots — and pain is not part of the sport. Nearly every complaint we hear, burning arches, bruised shins, numb toes, cold feet, balance problems has a mechanical cause, and a mechanical fix. We've written plain-language guides to the problems we solve every day in the store:
Burning or cramping under the foot is an unsupported arch collapsing under load, your boot needs to support 3-5 times your weight when you ski.
Bruised shins come from a lower leg moving inside the boot. Support the foot in neutral and the movement stops.
Toes hitting the front of the shell rarely means the boot is too short, the foot is sliding forward when you ski.
Cold feet are usually a circulation problem caused by pressure points — warmth starts with fit, not thicker socks.
Aching calves point to a forward-lean angle that doesn't match your leg shape — common, and correctable.
Women's anatomy loads the knee and calf differently. Off-the-shelf "women's boots" rarely correct for it, and everyone is unique.
Surefoot began in 1982 with two brothers, Bob and Russ Shay, grinding away at ski boots in their family garage in Park City because skiing hurt and nobody could explain why. Forty years and more than a million boots later, the company is still owned and run by the same two brothers — no franchises, one family. Every one of its 29 stores, Verbier included, runs the process the 300 bootfitters globally built.
What makes it different is the medical-grade insole. Most shops heat a flat footbed and press it against your sole. Surefoot mills yours from a solid blank of EVA on a CAD/CAM machine, driven by a 538-point physical digital scan of your foot (not an image) — the same precision used for medical orthotics. The result doesn't approximate your foot. It matches it. It's the most advanced insole fabrication system on the market and we own it.
In Verbier, that makes Surefoot doubly unusual: it's the only store dedicated entirely to ski boots, and the only one where your orthotic is milled from a digital scan rather than warmed in an oven, and the only place with heater-ready memory foam liners. We do boots only, because that's the piece of equipment that makes or breaks the ski day.
You don't need to buy new boots from us to ski pain-free. If your shells are sound and the correct last and flex for you, custom CAD/CAM orthotics and an injected memory foam liner will transform boots you bought anywhere. The team will tell you honestly what's worth building on.
