Surefoot began in 1982 with two brothers, Bob and Russ Shay, grinding away at ski boots in their family garage in Park City because skiing hurt and nobody could explain why. Forty years and more than a million boots later, the company is still owned and run by the same two brothers — no franchises, one family.
